The Orcas successfully chased down a mammoth target of 238, the highest ever in MLC history, thanks to Hetmyer's explosive unbeaten 97 off just 40 balls. He finished the game in style, hitting Kieron Pollard for a six when five runs were needed off the final delivery.

Earlier in the match, MI New York had set a formidable total of 237/4, propelled by Nicholas Pooran's magnificent unbeaten 108 off 60 balls, which included 7 fours and 8 sixes. Tajinder Dhillon also contributed a blistering 95 off 35 deliveries.

Despite the onslaught, Gerald Coetzee and Kyle Mayers managed to grab two wickets each, helping the Orcas regain some control.

Seattle's chase began poorly, with Josh Brown and Shayan Jahangir falling early. However, Kyle Mayers (37 off 20) and captain Sikandar Raza (30 off 9) launched a rapid counter-attack, injecting momentum into the innings. Heinrich Klaasen then added a quickfire 26 off 13 balls before being dismissed by Rushil Ugarkar.

Then Hetmyer took over. With the required run rate soaring, he shifted gears, smashing 5 fours and 9 sixes to reach an incredible strike rate of 242.50.

Facing Pollard on the last ball, Hetmyer executed a brilliant flick over fine leg, sending the Seattle camp into a frenzy.

"This one is one of the best because our backs were against the wall," said Hetmyer, who was named Player of the Match. "I went with a clear mind and wanted to take the game as deep as possible."
